Josh you are my ultimate hero. The inspiration you evoke is more incredible than you could ever imagine. Nevada blew my mind while also making me a bit nauseous. Thank you for sharing your art with the world!

I just finished reading Nevada and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! There were only a few instances where I felt slightly sqeamish. My friend (who is athiest) actually said that he wanted to read it and that it sounded good. Hope that you do some local shows with Showbread soon. I saw yall back in August in Savannah and about died when yall played (yall were just THAT good ^_^). Talk to you soon! <3, Erika

I agree with the other 2 comments. Josh, you are truly in inspiration and I really hope you know that.

Also, I read Nevada and it was great. I really had a hard time putting it down (I stayed up a bit too late most nights reading it, oops!). I can’t wait to hear new DIES music as well!

Nevada was so full of Biblical concepts that I had never explored before. You writing truly hits home with me. Dark writings that are covered with gore and a message. God bless.

I emailed the Myspace an Facebook and haven’t gotten a reply from either one…

    Hello,
I am a music student at Eastern University and I am in the process of writing an analytical paper on the Anorexia and Nervosa albums in regards to how the music affects the listener psychologically and emotionally. I am trying to focus on either The Death from the Anorexia album or The Beginning from the Nervosa album. I was wondering if there was a place for me to see the notated music for these pieces or even just a chord chart. I feel like analyzing the harmonic structure would really enhance the quality of my paper.
Thank you so much for your time. The music is beautiful and absolutely moving.

    God Bless,

    Katie J. Gallagher

Josh I jut want to tell you that recently through my writing of my personal poetry I have been truly rebron and have broken away from everything I have finally discovered what you mean by “May Raw Rock kil you forever and ever” Or I ahve what i believe it means. The old me has been killed and made way for the me I am now its kinda a pheonix effect. I am now seeing everything for what it really is. And it coulda ever happened without your music or the inspiration I got from your writings from the bottom of my heart and from one son of Christ to another I truly thank you

    Josh,
I read your post about the killing of Bin Ladin ( I am sure i spelled that wrong) and I want to thank you for those words. Being in the army i see it as you do. The death of a sone of God. My fiance in her breavery posted something very simular on her fb page. I also want to inform you of when I was home last on leave I dawned my showbread “art is dead” shirt and went to a poetry reading and read a poem I wrote called Alphega which was hugely inspired by you. A buddy of mine has said he can tell that i truly look up to your writtings and you are a huge inspiration to me he also said that if he gave that poem a theme song it would be The Pig (anorexia) mainly the lyrics ” I am a fire I eat the world and deficate the shell” and my fiance said she woudl describe it in one word RAW and that was a huge compliment to be compared to your art You are an amazing person Josh and you have a great gift I thank God for giving you the skill to follow your arts Your works have helped me so much I thank you for everything you do from the bottem of my soul.

love your brother in christ, Kevin Penrod

  • hey josh, before I heard of Showbread or Josh Dies, I was constantly looking for some kind of music to inspire me into making more music, then I heard mouth like a magazine and it hit me, the song had just enough power to get my juices going and I ended up listening to ever album the by Showbread. Recently I heard you were releasing a second album and I told myself ” I have to listen to the first” lol so I can’t wait for it to come out, I shall be constantly on the look out for it. -Tyrone
