UPDATE: After the following post went up a few days ago we connected with a Mr. Kyle Hilton, who will be taking over illustrating duties from James Nguyen on the upcoming comic book series we were until recently calling Absolution (the name is being changed, apparently a new comic called Absolution has just come out and become popular.) Kyle will be coloring James’ fantastic artwork for issue #1 and then taking the reigns entirely as the book goes on. Very exciting! More to come.
Patrick and I began scripting for two respective comic book series almost a year ago. The second book we scripted, The Black Meat, released its first issue earlier this year with issues 2 and 3 on the horizon.
The first book we created however, is yet to be released. Formerly titled Absolution, issue #1 of this saga has been a work in progress for many months. Recently we’ve learned artist James Nguyen will only be around for the first issue of this book, which means we’re once again looking for an artist.
The artist in question will be taking on full duties (pencils, ink and color.) We’re looking for someone who can bring the same creativity and skill that James established in issue #1 (a sample page is featured below) and who can work with a reasonable deadline. The original printing of our first comic book endeavor sold out within hours to readers all over the world, this is an excellent chance to bring your art to the masses and make some spare change while doing so.
If you or someone you know would be qualified for this job, please write us at Josh@showbread.net
please do not write if your schedule does not allow adequate time for working on a comic book or if your skill level is not up to the task.
